Vik Ørsta AS, dept. Traffic, entered earlier this year a contract with Betonmast Anlegg AS. The contract value is EUR 1.32 million and consist of 2.000 metres bridge parapets to E18 in Oslo. The project is in progress and is to be finished medio 2010.

Saferoad AS acquires Balmer Lindley Group Limited, one of the UK’s leading road safety infrastructure contractors. Balmer Lindley was formed in 1987, and supplies and erects safety fencing, environmental barriers, parapets and street lighting for main contractors and local authorities throughout the British Isles. Balmer Lindley will remain located in Scunthorpe, and the acquisition will not have any organizational effects.

Euroskilt at Vingrom totally destroyed by fire

The capacity and service level will be maintained by SafeRoad’s subsidiary Euroskilt.

Euroskilt’s headquarters and sign production department at Vingrom was totally destroyed in a fire on 7 March 2008. No employees were injured in the fire.

ØTS Trading is increasing its staff from one to two people in Shanghai and opening an official visitor’s office for the SafeRoad Group in China. ØTS imports steel products from China for companies in the group. “This year has seen a marked increase in activity as a result of the merger and acquisitions,” says Managing Director Tor Sverre Jacobsen.

Restructuring Asoma AB in Sweden

On 6th November 2007 the management of Asoma AB notified employees that the company was to be restructured. Asoma AB’s mechanical works is to be closed down and the workforce reduced by the equivalent of 13 full time jobs. Mechanical production is being transferred to other manufacturing operations within the group.

Strong growth for SafeRoad Group in 3rd quarter 2007

At the end of 3rd quarter 2007, the SafeRoad Group was able to present strong growth figures. Profit development has been satisfactory. The group had a pro forma turnover per third quarter of NOK 1,380 million, against NOK 953 million for the same period last year (+45%). The greater part of the growth (35%) is organic.
